Love In One Act: a mini-doc on life’s greatest appreciation.

During the Sedona International film festival in 2017, the cast and crew of the feature film Broken Memories (including Ivan Sergei and Kelly Greyson) screened their film there.  One of the film’s star Rance Howard, who played a man stricken with Alzheimer’s, had just the month before lost his wife to the disease.  Over the course of one day, actor/director Michael Worth took some time to talk to Rance about this experience and what it means to him.  The following is some of what he captured:

The lesbian-themed romantic comedy Seeking Dolly Parton, which made the festival rounds last year and is releasing under the Gravitas Label this spring, has an official follow up already going into production.  Titled The Sugar Moon Tribe, the story, once again from writer/director Michael Worth, picks up a couple years after the original and continues a love story between the two female characters of the first film, Charlie and Cerina.   The cast is lead by Kacey Clarke and new addition Sonya Davis as the afore mentioned characters.  The rest of the returning cast are Raffaello Degruttola, Michael Worth, Alex Ballar and recent Best Actress winner, 94-year-old Lois Stewart.  Also announced are transgendered actress Bambiana of the reality series Transcendent, Tara EgnatiosJennifer Kamstock and 6-month-old Mack Gamble Bevitz in his feature film debut.  The film is produced by CNC Movie Factory and Grizzly Peak Films.

Plot details are currently under wraps but writer Worth reveals the film “takes Charlie and Cerina on a very organic, if somewhat bumpy, journey into a new story that is slightly more ensemble but true to the focus of these two beautiful characters”.  Rehearsals began this week in Los Angeles where several photos were just released.  Principal photography begins in San Francisco later this month.

Grizzly Peak Films Social Network Update

ETM5Running a small inde film company is hard, as we imagine running any small company is.  But when you try and run the company and keep up with the many ways to fast track to your audience, the work becomes near impossible.  That being said, we are recommitting to updating on our progress via our social network sites, the good as well as the bad, more often than we have over the past year.  Our blog here is an important way for us to not only share news of forth coming productions, but to be able to share in the process of filmmaking and marketing from the perspective of a goldfish company in a sea of Blue Whales.

So for the moment, tp quickly bullet point a few things….

  1. We have recently wrapped production on the romantic drama, “Enchanting the Mortals” with Kacey Barnfield, Michael Worth and Eileen Grubba.
  2. Both “Bring Me the Head of Lance Henriksen” and “Seeking Dolly Parton” are now currently being submitted in rough cut form to film festivals and will, once polished in post, announce screenings in various cities.
  3. Grizzly Peak Film co-produced horror comedy “All American Zombie Drugs” from Alex Ballar is currently at Blockbuster.
  4. Pre-production is likely to start next week on a new feature which we will announce shortly.

Thanks for all your support and interest and we look forward to a very new worthy year of films!
